Andy Nolfo Receives the NEBB George B. Hightower Distinguished Service Award and NEBB Certified Professional Emeritus Status
recognizes outstanding individuals who have gener ously given their time and talents, demonstrating their dedication to NEBB and the future of our industry. Andy Nolfo was nominated for the NEBB George B. Hightower Distinguished Service Award by the Capital MarVa International Chapter and the Tennessee Chapter of NEBB. Andy Nolfo became a Registered Mechanical Profes sional Engineer (PE) in 1976 and NEBB Certified in TAB in 1977. Andy served on the Commissioning (R&D) Committee from 1990 through 1998, holding the posi tion of Chairman from 1994 to 1998. He served on the NEBB National Board of Directors from 1990 through 2000, acting as Treasurer in 2000. He then stepped down to become the Technical Director from 2000 to 2009. Andy has been a member of the TAB Commit tee since 2014 and continues to serve. His 34 years of service to NEBB at the national level are a testament to his enduring commitment. The George B. Andy Nolfo, PE, was presented with the NEBB George B. Hightower Distinguished Service Award and NEBB Certified Professional Emeritus Status by 2023 NEBB President Phil Emory at the NEBB National Conference held in Monterey, California, on October 26, 2023. The George B. Hightower Distinguished Service Award, NEBB’s most prestigious honor, was established in 1999. In November of that year, George B. Hightower received the inaugural award at the Annual Meeting in Colorado Springs. Named in his honor, the award
